A Firm Commitment to a Safe Work Environment
Koontz-Wagner Holdings and its subsidiaries strive to serve
our customers and our employees with a safe work environment. We
work toward continuous safety improvement by utilizing a variety of methods
including:
1. We ask each of our employees to be a safety
advocate, but we also have a full time corporate safety specialist along with a
safety associate embedded into each of our operating companies.
2. Our new hires participate in safety training
before they ever set foot on our job sites or on our manufacturing floors.
3. Employees are continuously trained in a
multitude of safety topics on a regular basis.
Many of our employees have also completed OSHA 10 or 30 hour courses.
4. We hold regular safety meetings with our staff
to keep communication lines open with regard to safety issues, concerns and new
ideas.
5. We communicate safety issues and concerns across
our companies to prevent incidents before they happen.
6. Our safety specialist, safety associates, and
key field personnel audit our work environments and take corrective actions as
needed.
7. We hold an annual safety conference to allow our
safety associates and others, including the General Managers of our companies, the
opportunity to meet face-to-face to share ideas and concerns as well as to learn
new topics and refresh those topics where issues have been noted.
8. Some of our companies are pre-qualified through
third-party safety verifiers such as IS Networld, PICS, and PEC Premiere. These pre-qualifications are extensive and
serve as proof of our obligation to safety.
